City Clerk

City Clerk Shirley M. Cannon is responsible for keeping accurate minutes of all City Council meetings as well as recording all ordinances, resolutions, motions and votes made by the Council.

The Clerk also advertises all public meetings and hearings and compiles and distributes the Council agendas and Council Calendars.

City Clerk Cannon achieved Master Municipal Clerk designation in 2010. Her office is on the 2nd floor of Lenoir City Hall at 801 West Avenue NW in Historic Downtown Lenoir.
