Fire Education and Public Information

The Fire Education and Public Information Office handles the bulk of issues that may arise daily concerning the many areas of fire department operations.  These may consist of items as varied as emergency response calls to the scheduling of a speaker for civic or school lectures and demonstrations.  All press releases are handled through the Public Information Office.  Lenoir Fire Department's Fire and Life Safety Educator is responsible for coordinating all events which would incorporate other divisions within the department.  Some of the events and programs in which we participate are Safe Kids, Remember When, and the annual Fire Prevention Week in October.  Other events are scheduled and attended as needed.
