Permit Applications, Forms, Fees
Below are links to the Planning Department's most commonly requested permit applications and land use approvals. Please fill out the forms, print, and return the original application with signatures to the Planning Department. We recommend that you make a copy of the application for your own records. The original is retained in the Planning Department.

The following applications require action by City Council and typically take 30 to 45 days for final action once the application is submitted.
Zoning & Floodplain Applications
These administrative permits are issued by Planning staff. Review time is typically three business days for smaller projects, but for large commercial or multi-family projects, allow two to three weeks. Please note, the City of Lenoir does not issue building permits. All building, electrical, and mechanical permits are issued by Caldwell County Building Inspections. However, prior to permitting with the County, a zoning permit is required for development within the City.
