Below is a joint statement from Mayor Pro Tem Crissy Thomas and Councilmember Ike Perkins regarding Turkey Tuesday.

"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and with all the City of Lenoir facilities closed, Turkey Tuesday, which is hosted at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center has been cancelled. We pray and look forward to giving out Turkeys next year, 2021. Everyone continue to be safe and have a Happy Thanksgiving. We ask that anyone wishing to donate and bless a family in need to make food donations to our local Yokefellow of Caldwell County, 1602 Harper Ave, Lenoir, NC 28645. Wishing you all continued blessing during this holiday season!"
