Independence Day Celebration

Fireworks during the July 4, 2018, Independence Day Celebration

Bring your family and friends to Mulberry Recreation Center Thursday for the July 4th Celebration. You can enjoy water slides, games, fireworks, and more.

The celebration will start at 5:00 pm. The fireworks will start around 9:30 pm.

Lucky Pocket will perform a variety of songs from the 1960’s to today. Buy a $10 armband for unlimited access to the inflatables and waterslides. There also will be a caricature and balloon artist, face painting, corn hole, a petting zoo, horse rides, and food vendors.

Garbage Collection

Sanitation will not pick up garbage Thursday. Thursday’s garbage route will be collected Wednesday, July 3. All other household garbage pickup will remain on a regular schedule.

Facility Schedule

City Hall, Martin Luther King Jr. Center, and Mulberry Recreation Center will be closed Thursday to celebrate Independence Day. The Lenoir Aquatic & Fitness Center facilities and pool will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (No exercise classes.)
