City of Lenoir Parks & Recreation staff are organizing adult sports programs this fall. Programs will include basketball leagues, pickleball and ping pong tournaments, and tennis lessons.
Parks & Recreation Director Phil Harper said one of his goals since coming back to Lenoir is to increase recreation programming. He also wants to provide more athletic opportunities for adults and seniors.
"We want to provide programs for residents of all ages," Director Harper said. "We want kids playing sports, we want adults playing sports, we want seniors playing sports. The more programs and opportunities we can provide for our residents to get active, the healthier our community will be."
