Halloween events coming up in Lenoir

The Mad Hatter marches in the Pumpkin Patch Parade, Friday, Oct. 28, 2022

We have a lot of fun Halloween events happening this Friday and Halloween night in Lenoir!

This Friday, Oct. 27, we have the Mad Hatter's Pumpkin Patch Parade and Downtown trick-or-Treating, the Run for Your Life 5k, and Halloween Movie night on the Square. On Halloween, Tuesday, Oct. 31, we're hosting a Drive-Thru Trunk or treat at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. All the Halloween events are free to the public except for the 5K race.

The Downtown Trick-or-Treating & the Mad Hatter’s Pumpkin Patch Parade is Friday, Oct. 27, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm in Downtown Lenoir. Come trick-or-treat, create Halloween hats, and join in the Mad Hatter's Pumpkin Patch Parade in Downtown Lenoir. Activities include trick-or-treating (participating businesses will have balloons outside their location), make-it-yourself witch and wizard hats, face painters, balloon artists, and the Mad Hatter's Pumpkin Patch Parade. Children age 12 and under must be accompanied by adult. It’s spooky fun for the entire family!

The Run for Your Life 5K is also on Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. The run will happen in Downtown Lenoir, and there may be ghosts and goblins along the course to help runners pick up their pace! The cost to enter is $40.00. The race will start and finish on Main Street in front of 1841 Café, located at 117 Main St, Lenoir. Check-in will be from 4:00 to 5:45 pm. The race will start at 6:00 pm. Runners get a spooky t-shirt. Click the following link for more information and to register, https://runsignup.com/Race/NC/Lenoir/CityofLenoirRunForYourLife5k.

Halloween Movie Night is Friday night as well at the Downtown Stage. A free showing of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" starts at 6:30 pm. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy a free movie!

Drive-Thru Trunk-or-Treat will start at 5:00 pm Halloween night, Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. Sponsors will park and decorate cars and hand out candy in bags to visitors as they drive (or walk) through the MLK Jr. Center parking lot. If it's raining, the Trunk-or-Treat will be held inside in the multipurpose room. Trick-or-treaters can park and walk in the multipurpose room from the parking lot to get candy. The event will close when the candy runs out!

We hope you have a Happy Halloween in Lenoir!
